The Mizen Looper is an Annual Charity Cycle established to raise funds for West Cork Down Syndrome Support Group.
The cycle spans the beautiful coast of West Cork. Beginning and finishing in Collins’ Centra, Drimoleague. There are two routes available including an 80 km and 130 km route. All participants are encouraged to tackle the 130km. There will be strong support from fellow cyclists, paramedics, bike mechanics, motorbike marshals, car and van support. All of whom are volunteering their time.
The entry fee is a donation and will be collected upon registration 8:00AM and 8:45AM on the morning of the Event. All proceeds go to the West Cork Down Syndrome Support Group.
Registration takes place between 8.00 am and 8.45 am on the morning of the event. The cycle commences at 9.00 am from Centra Drimoleague, also the end destination. There will be refreshments provided in Schull Community Hall (40 km) and a food stop at the Mizen Head (65 km). All food is provided by our wonderful sponsors.
Car Parking is provided for free in the Centra Car Park and in overflow Car Parks throughout the village. These include the Railway Yard and GAA Grounds.
All participants can pre-register through this website www.mizenlooper.com. You will not be asked for payment upon registration. We like to keep things simple so you’re only booking your place. The donation to the West Cork Down Syndrome Support Group is made on the day.
