Call it what you like, Cycle across Ireland in one day, Coast to coast in one day.
It’s simply, One day.
It’s about the day a friend tells you they are struggling, they are having bad thoughts.
It’s about the day a friend self-harms or commits suicide.
This cycle is not be about scenery, this one day is hard, a struggle and a challenge in a day.
It’s free to enter, a charity cycle with all donations to Pieta House, so any help from clubs, individuals or corporates is appreciated.
HOW MUCH IS THE EVENT TO ENTER?
Entry is FREE TO ENTER with a Cycling Ireland or UCI Licence.
There is a €5 cost for a Day Licence if you do not have a Cycling Ireland Licence. A day licence is required if you do not have a Cycling Ireland or a UCI cycling licence. The €5 goes directly to Cycling Ireland and provides insurance cover for you during the cycle. Please note: Triathlon Ireland Licences are not valid and must purchase a day licence.
WHAT IS THE ROUTE?
The cycle route is from Brown’s Barn, Citywest, Dublin to Killaloe, Co Clare, travelling the old Dublin/ Limerick road as far as Birdhill, before turning towards, Ballina / Killaloe.
