Cycling Sportive Event.
Sunday 18th June 2017.
Bunclody AFC, Bunclody, Co. Wexford. Sign on from 7:30 for 10am start time.
Event registration open soon (subject to availability)
There are 3 distances to choose from;
The 1point5 Rural Ramble is 30kms
The 1point5 Half Century covers almost 50kms while the 1point5 Century Ride is 100km. (Details below).
The first 10kms is shared by all 3 distances with the Rural Ramble taking a different route alongside the river Slaney afterwards. The first 50 km is shared by the century and half century rides so it will allow the opportunity for some participants of different abilities to cycle for the first 50kms together.
This ride itself is dedicated to all bicycle riders as we help to build awareness for a safe passing zone between motorised vehicles and bicycle riders. Funds raised will go towards building more awareness around this simple yet very important message. This, in turn, will help promote this message through our awareness stall, road signage, newspaper adverts, stickers, jerseys website or other awareness tools.
This year we are teaming up with the Niall Mellon Trust and funds raised will be shared with them.
Helmets are compulsory for this event and we ask everybody to obey the rules of the road.
Let us set a good example to others we share the road with.
THIS IS NOT A RACE!!
